First off, let me start by saying thank you for taking the time to visit out website.

All of our current breeding dogs are SV or OFA passing hips & elbows and titled in various venues who all fall under SV registered colors (black, sable, black and tan, bi color), which can all be found on each of their pages.

We strive to breed for exceptional temperament, sound minds and strong health.

Here at WoodWolf, we believe you can have both beauty and brains, a dog who not only can work, but one who also is beautiful with proper structure, pigment and coat.

We produce long coated, stock coated, dark / black / pattern sable, bi color, blanket back black and tan and solid black working line German Shepherds suited for various walks of life.

I am a third generation german shepherd owner and lover. Both my parents and grandparents had at least one german shepherd in their homes.

Growing up as did I, her name was Misty. Misty was given to us and born in an outdoor bathroom, but that did not make her any less of a wonderful dog.

Misty was gentle towards my brother and I, never once raising a tooth even when we as children were not the wisest around her. She was an alert dog at heart, she lived to bark at anyone or thing outside out house and I never felt as safe as I did with Misty by my side.

At 9 years young and a brain still full of youth, Misty took a turn for for worse. Within 2-3 weeks we were saying goodbye to our beloved companion. Misty was DM affected and lost all motion in her back legs within a 2-3 week period.

This is one of the many reasons we DM test all of our dogs to ensure no one goes through the heart break of watching their dog mentally want to live, but physically cannot.

We will never breed Carrier x Carrier which results in some Affected.

Currently we have 2 females who are a carrier for DM (not affected) and we will breed them ONLY to DM clear males in the future.

We do not own or breed DM affected dogs.

As long as our carriers are ONLY bred to clear dogs, then there is no health issue.

To us, breeding should always be to better the breed the best we can and we and others feel strongly that our dogs in our program do just that.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns with our program, we are happy to explain and discuss our views, email us at woodwolfkennels@gmail.com
